6-Azauridine is a synthetic triazine analog of uridine with antimetabolite activity. 6-Azauridine inhibits de novo pyrimidine synthesis and DNA synthesis and is converted intracellularly into mono, di, and triphosphate derivatives, which incorporate into RNA and inhibit protein synthesis.
