KEY FEATURES: HPDP contains a dithiopyridyl group which is reactive towards sulfhydryl groups (-SH) such as in cysteine (C) side chain to form stable disulfide bond Contains a spacer arm with a length of 29.2 A° that prevents steric hindrance to biotin labeling The spacer is cleavable at the disulfide bond with reducing agent, such as DTT, TCEP, etc. Must be dissolved in an organic solvent such as DMF or DMSO before dilution with aqueous buffersAPPLICATIONS: Ideal for biotinylating antibody or protein for use in protein detection, purification or immobilization.
